LG embarks on revolutionary school learning environment with energy efficient HVAC Equipment.

A well-rounded education is typically tied to the quality of a schools available resource, facilities and curriculum, in addition to the teachers’ ability to assess the students’ progress and facilitate the learning process. However, what many forget is that a student’s surrounding also has a substantial impact on their learning potential.

Studies have shown that children academic performance declines in higher temperatures. In hotter classrooms, headaches and heat exhaustion symptoms develop. These physical symptoms can hinder academic performance. Warm classrooms also decrease interest and alertness, distracting students.

Even research performed by high school students shows that student performance fall in warmer environments!

High humidity often accompanies high temperatures. Increased humidity can make students feel sleepy. Concentration levels are also lower in humid, hot environments. With the global warming concerns this menace has become even worse for lifelong learning.

And as it turns out, schools with well controlled temperatures in their classrooms can have a positive impact on student performance as well. By installing energy efficient HVAC equipment, school administrators are enhancing student comfort, healthiness and attention span, which can ultimately give performance and education outcomes a lift.

With its understanding of an effective learning environment, LG electronics has embarked to fill the gap in the education sector with its HVAC system that aims to create the right climate for education by reducing distractions, increasing attention spans, and boosting motivation for teachers and students alike.

“Research has shown that indoor air quality can impact learning. Schools in warmer climates will need cooling systems to manage classroom temperatures. To provide opportunity for improved students’ learning abilities, it’s safe to say air conditioning in schools is needed. And that is what as LG we are keen to achieve for the betterment of quality education for our children”. Said LG East Africa, marketing manager Moses Marji.

LGs HVAC solution is able .to ensure a conducive learning environment by increasing air flow while reducing noise, distributing air more evenly, and at greater speeds throughout the classrooms, as well as providing simplified maintenance and control.

At a minimum, an optimum energy efficient HVAC system should provide adequate fresh air intake, prevent growth of mold from unwanted moisture accumulation and keep the noise level in classrooms to a minimum.
