GardaWorld International Protective Services Increases its Commitment to Africa by Incorporating KK Security to its Global Network

GardaWorld, the world’s largest privately owned security and cash services provider, announced today that KK Security will now form an integral part of its African network. The addition of KK to its network offers GardaWorld access to new growth markets. KK’s seven-country African footprint has established its position as a leading security and protective services provider on the continent. With this addition to its network, GardaWorld will now have direct presence in 18 countries in Africa.

In order to support this strong commitment to the African continent, GardaWorld has also appointed Nick Arnold as the Managing Director for East Africa. Nick brings over 20 years’ experience in Africa and wider Emerging Markets and has held senior management positions in the security industry, general management, business development and operations.

Oliver Westmacott, President of GardaWorld International Protective Services commented “The addition of KK Security to our global network and the appointment of Nick Arnold to lead our East Africa strategy are direct responses to the growing requirements of our international clients wanting us to have a strong African presence. Our clients are investing money and efforts in Africa and GardaWorld is committed to support them with their security needs wherever they are. We are truly excited about these new developments and we will continue to grow our presence in the region.”

Nick Arnold commented, “GardaWorld’s decision to grow its presence in the African market is fueled by the opportunity to extend our world-class security and protective services to international clients with growing presence on the continent. KK Security is a well-managed company with an impeccable reputation. By working closely with the existing management team, GardaWorld will build on a strong existing platform and bring opportunities previously unavailable to a regional company”.

KK Security, in a statement by Chief Executive Officer, James Omwando, commented, “KK Security is proud of the reputation that we have built in nearly 50 years of providing security with diligence and integrity. This, combined with a high-performance track record has seen us establish successful operations in seven African countries and we are now excited to be in a position to take KK to the next level. GardaWorld’s core values, commitment to its employees training and career growth, international client base and best-in-class processes makes them a perfect fit for us and we look forward to working closely with them over the coming years to grow KK.”

In briefings with KK Security Country Managers and key clients, the two companies affirmed that the inclusion of KK in GardaWorld’s global network will not impact existing management structure and that KK will continue to operate as usual. Overtime, they will work to integrate knowledge and expertise to deliver international standards and opportunities unique to each country needs and requirements.
